We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full time Network Administrator position in the Beaumont area.


Job Description:
 
As a Network Administrator at Harbor Healthcare System, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our healthcare network infrastructure. This role includes overseeing Meraki networks, Voice over IP (VOIP) systems, Cisco routing and switching, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), cloud-based phone systems, and Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our healthcare network.
 

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meraki Network Management:
    • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Meraki network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
    • Implement security measures and compliance standards to protect patient data and ensure network security.
    • Conduct regular updates and patches to maintain network security and performance.
  2. VOIP Management:
    • Administer Voice over IP (VOIP) systems, including Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and cloud-based phone systems, to support efficient communication within the healthcare facility.
    • Provision and maintain IP phones, extensions, and call routing configurations.
    • Address and resolve VOIP-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  3. Cisco Routing and Switching:
    • Configure and maintain Cisco routers and switches to facilitate reliable data transmission.
    • Optimize network performance with a focus on Quality of Service (QoS) and VLAN configurations.
    • Implement redundancy and failover solutions to ensure uninterrupted network services.
  4. Microsoft 365 Integration:
    • Integrate and manage Microsoft 365 services to enhance collaboration and productivity among healthcare staff.
    • Ensure proper configuration and security of Microsoft 365 accounts, including email and SharePoint.
  5. Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM):
    • Manage CUCM infrastructure, including user accounts, call routing, and system configurations.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot voice and video communication systems to support healthcare professionals.
    • Collaborate with end-users to provide technical support for CUCM-related concerns.
  6. Network Design and Structured Cabling:
    • Collaborate with IT leadership to design and implement network infrastructure improvements and expansions.
    • Ensure structured cabling standards are followed during network installation and expansion projects.
    • Maintain documentation of network designs and cabling plans.
  7. Network Monitoring and Security:
    • Deploy network monitoring tools to proactively detect and address network issues, ensuring uninterrupted healthcare operations.
    • Uphold stringent network security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
    • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to safeguard patient data.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
    • Generate reports on network performance, usage, and security incidents for review and analysis.
  9. Collaboration and Teamwork:
    • Collaborate closely with professionals and cross-functional teams to support various healthcare IT initiatives.
    • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to network emergencies outside of regular business hours as necessary.
 

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Network Administrator with expertise in Meraki networks, VOIP, Cisco routing and switching, CUCM, cloud-based phone systems, and Microsoft 365.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
  • Thorough knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, subnetting, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
  • Experience with healthcare-specific network security and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • May have to travel - must have reliable transportation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
